Chris P. Varvares is a Senior Economic Advisor and Director with over four decades of experience in macroeconomic forecasting, financial market analysis, and policy assessment. He is skilled in liaising with top U.S. economic policymakers, providing expert advice on fiscal and monetary policy.

Professional and Industry experience
Chris was most recently Deputy Assistant Secretary for Macroeconomic Analysis at the U.S. Treasury.聽聽He previously held the position of Vice President and Co-head of US Economics at IHS Markit & S&P Global Market Intelligence, where he led 25 economists performing in-depth analysis of U.S. economic and financial developments. Prior to IHS Markit he co-founded Macroeconomic Advisers, LLC, an award-winning firm for policy analysis in the public and private sectors.
Chris has been recognized for his strategic vision and industry leadership, having developed models that consistently outperformed consensus predictions. Additionally, he co-founded the International Medical Assistance Foundation, which has dramatically enhanced medical support services in underserved regions of Honduras.
