Brett is the office managing partner of the ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Albuquerque, NM office.  He specializes in providing audit services within the ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Asset Management audit practice.  He has approximately 20 years of experience performing financial statement audits.  Brett joined the audit practice in the Albuquerque office of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in 2003 after completing his education at New Mexico State University.

Professional and industry experience

Brett provides professional audit and accounting services to clients within the real estate, government, manufacturing, technology, and financial services business environments in accordance with U.S. GAAP.  He also has experience in performing audits of various types of employee benefit plans.

Brett oversees the coordination and execution of audits, including large multi-location audits.  Brett’s core strengths and accomplishments include:

• Serves on large multi-location consolidated audits and has a detailed understanding of acquisition accounting, exempt bond offerings, and of the coordination efforts required to pull together ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø and non-ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø audit teams from different geographical areas as it relates to group audit reporting.
• Maintains an in-depth understanding of the single family, multi-family, and commercial real estate industries and the accounting issues that impact these industries.
• Organizational expertise and understanding of multi-location audits to ensure audits progress in an efficient manner and are completed and issued in accordance with planned timelines.

Brett has substantial experience leading and coordinating financial statement audits.  He has served as the individual responsible for planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of financial statement audits.
