Rachel Smith
Senior Manager, Tax | WNT - SALT Income & Incentives
Rachel is a Senior Manager in 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网鈥檚 Washington National Tax practice, specializing in federal excise taxes. Rachel has over 10 years of experience.
Prior to joining 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网, Rachel spent 11 years as an attorney at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, which included an eight year role as an attorney in the Excise Tax Branch. She drafted regulations, rulings, notices, and non-precedential guidance and opinion memos. While at the IRS, she worked with the Treasury Department, the Department of Justice, and other federal agencies to coordinate issues related to the administration of federal excise taxes.
