Marissa Rensen
Managing Director
Marissa is a managing director in 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网鈥檚 Washington National Tax鈥檚 International Tax practice. Marissa advises clients on U.S. international tax matters. In particular, she has experience advising on issues relating to Pillar Two, foreign-derived intangible income (FDII), foreign tax credits, and transfer pricing.
Prior to joining 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 in April 2020, Marissa was an attorney in the IRS鈥檚 Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International) for more than seven years, most recently as a special counsel. During her time with Chief Counsel, Marissa provided guidance to the IRS on transfer pricing matters in examination, appeals, and litigation. After the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Marissa focused on guidance implementing U.S. tax reform and served as a drafter or reviewer of several regulation packages including those for FDII, the base erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT), and inventory sourcing. Earlier in her career, she was a clerk to the Honorable Joseph R. Goeke of the U.S. Tax Court and a tax associate at a law firm in Washington, D.C. Marissa is a frequent speaker on FDII, foreign tax credits, and transfer pricing.
