Amy is a Partner in 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网鈥檚 Department of Professional Practice (DPP) in the Practice Advisory Group. In her role she supports engagement teams and clients with the interpretation and application of accounting standards under both US GAAP and IFRS.
Amy is a member of the Revenue Recognition, Business Combinations, Consolidation, and Leases and Long Lived Assets topic teams. She also performs IFRS pre-issuance reviews.
Prior to joining DPP, Amy was a partner in 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网 Canada鈥檚 Accounting Advisory Services practice. Amy鈥檚 experience also includes secondments with 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网's International Standards Group in London, 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网 UK鈥檚 Accounting Advisory Service practice and as a practice fellow for the International Accounting Standards Board. Prior to that Amy was a Senior Manager in Audit as well as a member of 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网 Canada鈥檚 Department of Professional Practice.
Amy has extensive experience supporting clients in various industries and advising them on complex issues arising from transactions, business decisions and regulatory changes. Amy has led numerous accounting change projects, in addition to delivering ad hoc and other transaction specific accounting advice. She also has led pre- and post-deal reporting engagements, IPO engagements and GAAP conversions and has experience working cross-functionally with 乐鱼(Leyu)体育官网鈥檚 Transaction Services, M&A Tax and Operations M&A practices on buy-side and sell-side engagements.
As a Practice Fellow with the IASB, Amy was responsible for drafting the Clarifications to IFRS 15 amendments that were issued in April 2016.She drafted the Exposure Draft, reviewed and evaluated comment letters received, presented recommendations to the IASB, and prepared the finalized version of the clarifications for issuance.
Amy has both breadth and depth of experience advising clients and providing support to audit engagement teams on inquires, related to complex technical accounting issues and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with both IFRS and US GAAP, including industry insights and benchmarking.
