Tom Greenaway is the US Leader of 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网鈥檚 Global Legal Business Services practice. With extensive experience in IRS matters, Tom focuses on representing clients before the IRS, handling issues from rulings and voluntary disclosures through examination, Appeals, and post-Appeals dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on international tax matters. Before joining 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网, Tom served as a senior attorney in the Large & Midsize Business division of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Boston, where he also held the role of U.S. Counsel to the Joint International Tax Shelter Information Centre. This background provides him with a deep understanding of IRS processes and regulations. Tom is actively involved in the tax community. He serves as a Council Director of the American Bar Association (ABA) Tax Section and has held leadership roles in local finance committees. He is a frequent author on tax topics, contributing to publications such as Tax Executive, Tax Notes, Tax Lawyer, and Taxes. Tom also speaks regularly at professional organizations like the Tax Executives Institute and the ABA Tax Section and has been a faculty member at the American Law Institute鈥檚 annual Tax Controversy Conference.
Tom earned his BA degree, cum laude, from Columbia College and his JD degree, with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
