Ms. Priya Dayananda is the Managing Director of Federal Government Affairs. She joined ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in 2006. The Office of Government Affairs is responsible for representing ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø’s interests in all matters of public policy before the Federal and state governments and for assisting non-U.S. practices in achieving their government affairs goals. Ms. Dayananda advances the U.S. firm’s public policy agenda by communicating the firm’s priorities and positions to the Administration, Members of Congress, and Regulators.

• Ms. Dayananda lobbies the Administration, and Democrats and Republicans in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate

• Ms. Dayananda supports ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø’s financial services practice regarding regulatory and legislative initiatives
  
• Over the course of 20 years, Ms. Dayananda has worked on Capitol Hill as a Senior Advisor to Members of Congress on the House Financial Services Committee and as a registered financial services lobbyist for 16 years
  
• Ms. Dayananda was named by The Roll Call and The Hill as one of the United Statesâ€� “Top 25 Corporate Lobbyistsâ€�. In addition, she was named by The Politico as one of the “Top 50 Politicosâ€� in the United States
  
• Ms. Dayananda’s experience as a lobbyist includes being Director of Government Relations for the American Bankers Association (formerly America’s Community Bankers), the national trade association representing financial institutions, and as assistant director of government relations for the National Association of Minority Contractors, the national trade association for minority-owned and women-owned construction
  
•  Prior to joining ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø, Ms. Dayananda served as a senior adviser to two members of the U.S. House of Representativesâ€� Committee on Financial Services, U.S. Representatives Steve Israel (NY) and Greg Meeks (NY); and as a senior adviser to U.S. Representative E.B. Johnson (TX)
