The adopted amendments to the Law on Local Self-government Financing do away with particular fees and change payment methods for signboard fees, fees for use of advertising boards and fees for owning motor vehicles
Serbian Parliament adopted the Law on Amendments to the Law
Application of adopted amendments
The adopted amendments shall be effective as of 1 October 2012, except for provisions relating to payment of signboard fees by companies that are classified as large enterprises or by entrepreneurs and legal entities performing specific activities, and which shall go into effect on 1 January 2013.
Entities that up to the date of going into force of these amendments paid a higher amount of local municipal fee for 2012 than the amount that they owed according to this law because of the cancelation of this fee, exemption from fee payment or reduction in amount of fee, are entitled to have the excess amount of fee payment transferred to the same or other obligations toward the local self-government unit based on payment of public duties and fees.
