The 2025 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum took place from 20-24 January in Davos, Switzerland. Under the theme of ‘Collaboration for the Intelligent Age�� there were high level discussions on the fundamental principles of reimagining growth, driving transformation across industries in the intelligent age, investing in people, safeguarding the planet and rebuilding trust.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of “India’s Digital Dividend: The Strategic Roadmap Towards Becoming a Global Digital Leader." This insightful report outlines the essential steps required to position India as a frontrunner in the global digital economy. The report was unveiled in the presence of:

The conversations highlighted India’s leadership in water sustainability through initiatives like Namami Gange and the pioneering efforts of the Global River Cities Alliance (GRCA). Launched at COP28 under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), GRCA stands as one of the first global alliances of its kind, bringing together over 275 river cities across 11 countries, alongside international funding agencies and knowledge partners. Its mission is to foster river conservation and champion sustainable water management at a global scale.

Solving water security requires a global commitment, with India setting an example through transformative initiatives. Harnessing technology, fostering innovation, and driving collaboration are essential to achieving a water-secure future for generations to come.
