Himanshu carries rich experience of 30 years in professional services advising businesses on range of tariff, trade and product quality conformity requirement impacting market access and cost of international trade transactions involving goods. Rising trend of economic nationalism has started to influence trade, tariff, incentives and industrial policy which has a direct and indirect impact on international trade in goods.聽Himanshu supports the clients in twin task of business growth and continuity in international supply chain while managing regulatory hurdles at the border.
He regularly supports clients in international trade operations issues such as customs classification, duty exemptions and refunds, export incentives, export control (SCOMET), Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), Free Trade Agreement (FTA) benefits, product conformity (BIS), legal metrology, and other regulatory support. He also supports clients in visualising alternate sourcing footprint, product pricing, customs valuation and transfer pricing related margin governance. He also supports in developing governance and monitoring framework for trade operations through data extraction, digitisation and dashboarding.
In 2023, he authored a book on BIS Quality Control Regulations that underpins the business nuances of quality control regime in India as a technical barrier to trade. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
