Mathias has more than 15 years of experience in consulting. For several years he worked in New York, Chicago and Bern, and is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. The range of his client portfolio includes some of the world鈥檚 largest multinationals, as well as SMEs from Switzerland. Mathias advises businesses throughout different industries in the area of international and Swiss indirect taxes (value-added tax and customs duties). The content of his projects includes analytics of data and processes, the implementation of processes, opinions, e.g. in the framework of mergers&acquisitions, negotiation and litigation with tax authorities and courts.
Further, Mathias is a lecturer at the universities of Zurich and Lucerne. He is also a frequent author of essays in tax journals. Since a few years, Mathias is recognized as 鈥淟eading Indirect Tax Advisor鈥� by the International tax review journal.
Mathias is a member of the committee for VAT of the Swiss association of accountants and tax consultants EXPERTsuisse.
