Qualified in Western Australia, Richard has been living and practicing law in South East Asia since 2007.  Prior to that, Richard worked in Perth, Australia for a premier Australian (now Magic Circle) law firm.  As the Head of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Law in Vietnam, Richard is responsible for the day to day operations of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Law, one of Vietnam’s leading law practices (and recognised by Asian Legal Business as the Rising Law Firm of the year for South East Asia in 2022). Richard was named in Vietnam’s Top 100 lawyers in 2023 by the Asian Business Law Journal.

Richard has extensive experience in advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial engagements and cross-border M&A transactions, with significant experience in acting for both sellers and purchasers in transactions in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with a particular focus on the real estate, manufacturing and mining sectors.  Richard also has experience in acting for clients in respect of limited and non-recourse financing and general corporate finance transactions, commercial litigation, international arbitration and insolvency.
