鈥淚n 2008, the year I joined 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 in Uganda, a Partner said to me, 鈥榃e join as a group, but we progress individually. Your future is in your hands.鈥� These words turned out to be quite influential as I set out on my career path.

After graduation, I started as an audit assistant at 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网, received my qualifications for my ACCA within my second year and was promoted to senior associate in my third. Today, I鈥檓 advising global clients on how to make their businesses more effective.

I joined a people business that specializes in accounting and audit. Partners and my managers have always made sure my goals were a priority; they鈥檙e truly invested in my growth and development. From creating and sharing a presentation with our clients' Audit Board Committee during my second year to leading high-profile engagements in Uganda, I鈥檝e always tackled new challenges and continue to learn new things. I鈥檝e received a lot of exposure early in my career and that made me more confident in my capabilities. 

But my work isn鈥檛 just about driving business revenues. I am passionate about education and 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 supports me in passing on knowledge to others through the Learning and development department and are very accepting that I use my spare time to facilitate in courses like ACCA. That鈥檚 what鈥檚 so special about 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 鈥� they see potential. They give people a chance and support you every step of the way. They also appreciate that you have a life outside of work: I recently ran a half marathon, I watch and play soccer at any chance I get and I love spending time with my wife and daughter. 

I was once at the airport when I saw a lady point me out, excitedly telling a friend that I was her auditor. It was one of those moments of true pride because what I do matters. I鈥檓 part of an organization that audits a large majority of banks and insurance companies in Uganda, within highly regulated industries. They鈥檙e the movers and shakers of the market. The work we do helps give confidence to the capital market, and it gives me a real sense of personal fulfillment."
