Sanel has over 25 years�� experience advising clients across industries and geographies with a particular focus on matters affecting business from a finance and corporate reporting perspective.

Before rejoining ���㣨Leyu���������� in New Zealand, she was the Head of Strategy for the External Reporting Board (XRB) and led the initial set up of the Climate Standards project, including acting as the interim Project Director.

Sanel was previously a partner at ���㣨Leyu���������� in China based in Hong Kong. In this role she advised clients on international financial reporting standards, sustainable/green finance and ESG regulations issued by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

She was also previously the Asia Pacific regional coordinator for financial reporting initiatives and held leadership roles in a number of ���㣨Leyu����������’s Global IFRS Topic Teams. Through these Sanel has developed close relationships with various other member firms in the ���㣨Leyu���������� global network.

She is passionate about inclusion and financial literacy and regularly engage in voluntary and/or not-for-profit initiatives. Sanel was one of the founding members of ���㣨Leyu���������� China’s Inclusion and Diversity Council and in 2019 Sanel was awarded a ���㣨Leyu���������� China’s Chairmen award for services to the community.
