ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Family for Literacy (KFFL)
ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø supports several primary schools across the East Africa region under ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Family for Literacy (KFFL) which is a global corporate citizenship initiative by ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø staff, alumni, spouses and families to raise literacy levels among low-income communities. To date, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø has donated over 4,000 books through the KFFL project.
ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø education scholarship programs
In Kenya, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø sponsors the education of five deserving boys and girls each at Starehe Boys Centre and Starehe Girls Centre, respectively, providing opportunities for bright but underprivileged students. Additionally, the firm has a scholarship program in Uganda.
Annual blood donation
Since 2002, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø staff in Tanzania actively participate in Blood Donation day annually, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion - Tanzania (NBTS) to address blood shortages in the country and ultimately make a lifesaving impact.
The Faraja Cancer Support Trust
ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø supports Faraja Cancer Trust which offers cancer patients and their carersâ€� information, advice, counselling and complementary therapies to make their cancer journey manageable.
The Kabaka Marathon
ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø annually supports the "Kabaka Birthday Run" in Uganda, a marathon organized to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, with a focus on encouraging men to undergo testing and seek treatment, thereby contributing to the reduction of HIV infections among women.
Enactus
ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø has supported Enactus since 1996 and has played a pivotal role in helping the organization create a global footprint. Today, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø member firms including Kenya support Enactus in 39 countries, and has been recognized as the Global Champion of Enactus. ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø supports Enactus by being national, regional and international judges during business and entrepreneurship competitions and sit on various Enactus advisory boards.
