Erik is a partner in ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø’s Risk Services practice who leads our team of information systems audit and controls assurance specialists in Vancouver, Canada. Erik is also ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø’s Global IT Attestation & SOC Services Leader, as well as our National Systems & Controls Assurance Services Leader in Canada.

Erik specializes in information systems audit, security, internal control and risk management, and he has over 27 years of public practice experience delivering ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø attestation, assurance and advisory services in a variety of complex business and technology environments, industry sectors and geographies. Prior to joining ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø, Erik spent 13 years in the IT industry doing systems analysis and software development.

Erik is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and he has Government of Canada Level II (Secret) Security Clearance.

Erik is also the current Chair of CPA Canada’s Audit & Assurance Technology Committee and he serves on several CPA Canada working groups involved in developing and updating Canadian standards and guidance for systems and controls attestation services (e.g. SOC 1, SOC 2/3, and SOC for Cybersecurity) and provides technical advice to CPA Canada committees on audit and assurance issues related to blockchain, crypto-assets and digital ledger technology.
