Shamit brings 20 years of audit experience, having joined ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in 2007 after starting his career in India. His expertise spans a wide range of industries, including technology, consumer markets, leisure and entertainment, with a particular focus on Telecom and Media sectors. Since 2012, Shamit has been a key figure in telecom audits, progressing from engagement manager to lead partner for large, listed telecom companies. He is also an accredited engagement quality control reviewer, committed to maintaining the highest standards in audit quality. Shamit has developed proficiency in US GAAP and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) through hands-on experience leading audits for US-based companies. In addition to his client work, Shamit serves as the Audit Methodology Leader, driving audit quality. He has also held leadership roles in audit quality, learning and development, supporting initiatives that strengthen audit teams and reinforce the firm’s commitment to high standards. A naturally curious individual, Shamit enjoys quizzing and staying informed through reading non-fiction, especially on cognitive biases and organizational change, and stays active with racquet sports.
