Julie has over 20 years of experience of providing Indirect tax (VAT and Customs) advice to large multinationals operating in various countries. She has been part of the UAE VAT team in Dubai since July 2017 whereby she is co-leading the UAE VAT practice encompassing over 200 clients in various industries, including large GCC family groups, multinationals and government entities. She is also leading the FS sector specialism having a number of major UAE banks as her clients. Prior to moving to the UAE, she worked for other Big4 firms in the Netherlands where she was assisting clients in managing the VAT component of major business transformation projects. Julie’s strength is in ensuring that VAT technical content is translated and implemented in client’s processes and procedures in a practical way to ensure compliance with VAT regulations which will be very important with the upcoming E-invoicing implementation in the UAE.
